On 13th January 2019 CED lost one of the main members, the 29 years old Besir Ramadani. This day was one of the hardest day not only for his family, but also for all those young people with whom Besir used to work for almost 4 years.

Since 2010 he was engaged in the NGO sector, initially part of the various activities as student, then volunteer in NGO "Student life" (organization from Albania), part of organizing the activity "A Life for Tetova" in co-operation with NGO "Student life ".  After his studies in 2015, he continues his activity as a volunteer at the NGO "Center for education and development" (CED).

During 2015, he and his German volunteers will develop some activities in elementary schools in the municipality of Tearce. They will also participate in the trainings that will be organized by CED. During 2016/2017 he was assigned as weltwarts volunteer in Halle (Saale) Germany, a project that lasts 12 months. During his stay in Halle(Saale) Germany  he will work as a volunteer at NGO "Friedenskreis" and at the Leben (s) traum.e.V foundation, a foundation that is created by the Parents for Disabled People. Work as a volunteer positively influenced him because during this period he was a participant in more than 7 trainings with different topics: discrimination, human rights, sexism, politics etc.

In 2017 it returns to CED to continue with various activities and projects that are being held in this NGO as well as its new task as a mentor of international volunteers. His last activity was coordinating the Children exchange in Trogen for two weeks. He passed away very young, but left behind him lots of achievement, which most of people wouldn’t achieve during the whole life.

We will not forget him:

”We are never ready to say goodbye forever even though we know it is a part of life. This day our hearts are heavy for losing someone so special, but as we mourn your death. It always seems like we have all the time in the world, only to realize how fleeting it really is. I wish we had more time to do and say the things. You were and are still an inspiration to all, with a heart that radiated love and warmth through all our lives. You will truly be missed and forever remembered.”

”I have no words to say. I am so sad to hear about Besir. He was a friend. A good friend. A kind soul. I cannot believe he is gone. I cannot imagine it. I don’t know his sister or his family. So I didn’t know who to tell. But I’m so sorry and so sad. I can’t think of any way I can help, but if there is. Let me know. I have no words. I’m sorry I can’t be there now with you all.”
