About us

Centre for Education and Development (CED) is a non-governmental organization which works in the Municipality of Tearce region since December 2006. The organization has as a target group of young people 12 to 28 years, and to achieve its goals always activities including youth, teachers, parents, leaders of institutions and other leading organizations.According to its strategic plan, CED in the next three years as has its priorities: Reducing deviant behavior among young people, and that by organizing cultural and sports events, protection of the environment, through awareness raising activities of citizens, improving interethnic cooperation between the nationalities living in the region, organizing joint activities.

Young people have skills, knowledge, and attitudes to take on initiatives and build a healthy and developed community where different ethnicities peacefully coexist.

Tv Debate on Civic Activism

tv21 1On April 12, 2021, the President of the Center for Education and Development - CED, Mr.Metin Muaremi participated in the debate show on "Social activism, despite political opportunism" conducted by the National television TV21. Other guests on the show included representatives of the civil sector, former members of the colorful revolution, a journalist and a former activist. What was emphasized was a reflection of the diverse revolution that took place in Northern Macedonia in 2016, and which was the only hope at that time for radical changes in society.

The end of 2020 is a good opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made through our activities and to see how we can fully achieve our goals that we have set for ourselves as an organization and as a team.
The passing year proved once again the importance of the work that the CED organization does and in a way we managed to prove that despite the new measures, as an organization we managed to adapt to the new conditions that the pandemic imposed. 2020 was a challenging year for CED and all our supporters, so I want to use this letter to thank all those who helped us get through it.

14 Years with CED

14YearsCEDcoverAfter the period of 2001, Tearce is "labeled" as a place where most of the leaders of local and national organizations will implement projects in order to introduce an interethnic cooperation, which despite the conflict from 2001, the residents managed to maintain positive reports of created over the years.

For the realization of each project, the main need, in addition to financial means, are various human capacities. Aware that every project has as its main goal "what after the project ends?", So how will the sustainability continue after the departure of a donor, activists with the initiative of Metin Muaremi, Mensure Ilazi, Xhemal Qamili, Dijana Srecko Petrovski and Alije M.Ismaili decided to establish the CED organization on December 19th 2006, ie to become a legal entity, being aware of the challenges they will face in a country where over 10,000 non-governmental organizations are registered.
