About us

Centre for Education and Development (CED) is a non-governmental organization which works in the Municipality of Tearce region since December 2006. The organization has as a target group of young people 12 to 28 years, and to achieve its goals always activities including youth, teachers, parents, leaders of institutions and other leading organizations.According to its strategic plan, CED in the next three years as has its priorities: Reducing deviant behavior among young people, and that by organizing cultural and sports events, protection of the environment, through awareness raising activities of citizens, improving interethnic cooperation between the nationalities living in the region, organizing joint activities.

Young people have skills, knowledge, and attitudes to take on initiatives and build a healthy and developed community where different ethnicities peacefully coexist.

New volunteers on CED

thumbnailFor the next 2 months, within the Erasmus+ EVS Program, CED is hosting three additional young volunteers from Turkey sent by SITODEDE (Sivil Toplum Destekleme Dernegi) and Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of National Education. The three of them will work on different projects with diverse themes such as art, culture, journalism and the promotion of youth work as part of CED. They are excited to start working on projects. Resul Dagdelen has finished Atatürk University-Architecture of Desing Faculty-Landscape and Cansu Duman graduated Systematic Philosophy and Logic Department (TYL), Atatürk Üniversity, Erzurum (Türkiye), both experienced on the NGO sector.

The role of CSO’s in promoting civic participation

metinMA democratic society can’t be developed at all its levels unless it enables full involvement of all interested parties. Active citizen participation means an individual or group action, with a view to identifying and addressing issues of public interest. Civic participation is a process where citizens organize themselves and their goals at the practical level and work together, whether at the individual level or through civil society organizations, to influence decision-making processes.

Participation in decision-making processes means opportunities for citizens, civic organizations and other stakeholders for being influenced the development of policies and laws that affect them. The concept of citizen participation dating from antiquity. The evidence of the writing of civic participation dates back to the seventh and eighth centuries B.C in ancient Greece. Participation in the assemblies of these governing units was open for all free citizens. Citizens' assemblies were called for the purpose of debating, achieving consensus and democratic decision-making.

Во проектот спроведен со 25 учесници од Турција, Бугарија, Грција, Романија и Македонија: тие работеа на ефектите од здравата исхрана за здрав живот.

Become an international long-term volunteer in Halle (Germany)

banerFKCenter for education and development - CED within the cooperation with Friedenskreis announces international long-term voluntary service in Germany. The announcement is for a service in the period: middle of September 2018 until middle of September 2019 (12 months) within the program: “weltwärts”. Friedenskreis Halle e.V., is a coordinating organization for the developmental voluntary service “weltwärts”, the international long-term voluntary services within the German program “weltwärts”. 

The aim of the weltwärts programme is to introduce young people to development issues, encourage their interest and involvement in development and enable them to undertake volunteer service in placements that are suitable for this purpose. The weltwärts programme gives young people the chance to take part in volunteer service in the field of development irrespective of their financial standing.
