Center for Education and Development-CED in the framework of the project ‘Info Youth Club - Tetovo’ which is supported by UNDP in cooperation with the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences at SEEU organized on October 6 2021 the first edition of the ‘Youth Career Fair’. The fair was attended by companies, businesses, institutions and non-governmental organizations who presented their offers for employment, internship, training and career development to young people.
In the first part of the fair, attendees had the opportunity to hear more about the work of the ‘Info Youth Club’, cooperation with UNDP and the Southeast European University and heard motivational speeches from successful entrepreneurs. On behalf of CED, Director Metin Muaremi talked about the work done by the 'Info Youth Club' through which many young people have been trained for career development, have had the opportunity to hear success stories from successful entrepreneurs, have heard of statistical analysis regarding the compatibility of the labor market with the university level and now have the opportunity to see closely the offers of companies, businesses, institutions and non-governmental organizations.
From the Southeast European University, prof. Merita Zylfiu talked about the successful cooperation of the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences with the Center for Education and Development, where through the project 'Info Youth Club' students were given the opportunity to know better the practical side and get used to career development and dealing with labor market. On behalf of UNDP, Ms. Gordana Veljanovska welcomed the first edition of the ‘Youth Career Fair’, emphasizing that UNDP is always open to projects in which new jobs are developed and created, especially for the youth of the region.
Motivational speech was given by the successful entrepreneur, Latif Mustafa who lectured on the topic ‘For the future we want’, where he motivated young people to be more courageous in taking the risk to open new entrepreneurs. Also, the Student Parliament, through the president Agron Demiri welcomed the first edition of the ‘Youth Career Fair’, which according to them is an excellent opportunity.
Later, young people, students and attendees had the opportunity to see offers for employment, internship, training and career development from the companies, businesses, institutions and non-governmental organizations that offered their offers. Many young people gave their opinions in front of the media, describing the first edition of this fair as a very good opportunity to get acquainted with the labor market.
Center for Education and Development will continue to contribute with new projects in the field of employment and career development, especially for young people.
