New volunteers on CED

thumbnailFor the next 2 months, within the Erasmus+ EVS Program, CED is hosting three additional young volunteers from Turkey sent by SITODEDE (Sivil Toplum Destekleme Dernegi) and Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of National Education. The three of them will work on different projects with diverse themes such as art, culture, journalism and the promotion of youth work as part of CED. They are excited to start working on projects. Resul Dagdelen has finished Atatürk University-Architecture of Desing Faculty-Landscape and Cansu Duman graduated Systematic Philosophy and Logic Department (TYL), Atatürk Üniversity, Erzurum (Türkiye), both experienced on the NGO sector.

Become an international long-term volunteer in Halle (Germany)

banerFKCenter for education and development - CED within the cooperation with Friedenskreis announces international long-term voluntary service in Germany. The announcement is for a service in the period: middle of September 2018 until middle of September 2019 (12 months) within the program: “weltwärts”. Friedenskreis Halle e.V., is a coordinating organization for the developmental voluntary service “weltwärts”, the international long-term voluntary services within the German program “weltwärts”. 

The aim of the weltwärts programme is to introduce young people to development issues, encourage their interest and involvement in development and enable them to undertake volunteer service in placements that are suitable for this purpose. The weltwärts programme gives young people the chance to take part in volunteer service in the field of development irrespective of their financial standing.

Football People - Actions Weeks

Reaction from “Friends of Sharr”

fotoSharr3Non Governmental Organizations and individuals in the Polog and Skopje region, known as  “Friends of Sharr” platform, which campaigns to proclaim the Sharr Mountains a national park, react harshly against recent developments in these mountains, such as the opening of mountain roads in the unique landscape of the Sharr Mountains,  in the site known as Leshnica.  “Friends of Sharr” deem the construction of roads in the heart of the future park to be inappropriate and disturbing to the wildlife of this habitat.

Summer Camp 2017 in Trogen

Training's on Career Counseling

coverInfotrajnimOn the dates 17, 18 and 24, 25 March 2017, at the State University of Tetovo was held a training on career counseling for university students and young unemployed people. The training was organized by Youth Info Club, which on itself is a program managed by Center for Education and Development-CED and supported by UNDP in Macedonia. Topics of the training were: personal development, communication skills, leadership and work in groups, employment skills, and appropriate behavior in the workplace.

Networking and advocacy of local and urban communion

IMG 1453Local and urban communions are the main cell in the immediate concretization, creating of the needs of citizens and their achievement. However, the constitutional framework and the law on local self-government have no mandatory provision for the establishment of local and urban communions and thus they are marginalized in the decentralization process. As the imperative is pushed there is an increased need to create new forms and tools through networking at the local, regional, and national level. Because the legal forms and the change of the law on local self-government is a lengthy process, which provides constitutional changes as a precondition for changing the law on local self-government, which would strengthen their legal status, it is quite legitimate to network in the form of civic associations in the NGO sector.

Living together, Exchange in Trogen 2017

fotoosIn the period 10.01.-24.01.2017, 40 children from different part of Macedonia, together with children from Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina participated on an international exchange in the Children Village Pestalozzi, Switzerland. For these two weeks the kids used to live together and learn through the different workshops delivered by the PCF coordinators. The aim of this emancipatory approach is to enable young people to determine their own lives and to shape society as mature citizens in freedom. The Children’s Village was a “neutral” space that provides an ideal platform for encounters, experiences and reflections.

Youth Info ClubTetovoYouth Info Club – Tetovo, operates at the University of Tetova (the Rectorate, faculty of Economis and Juridical) every day from 11:30 to 14:30. The club is led by Liridon Asani as the club coordinator. Youth Info Club, started to function from November 2015 and will last until September 2016. The main objective of this project is to support the government and national measures for planning and implementation of better work. The main key of this project are two clubs in Tetovo and Skopje to ensure the success and easy access students for further information on active measures of the labor market employment and self-employment as well as practical opportunity. Youth Info Club in Tetovo is supported by UNDP (United Nation Development Programme) and implemented by CED (Center for Education and Development).

Promoting the platform “Friends of Sharr”

Logo_CED_IRzOn 26.09.2015 in Tetovo in front of the Cultural house was promoted the platform of associations in the Tetovo’s region “Friends of Sharri” which is open type and can join all natural and legal persons who would like Sharr Mountain to be declared as a protected area.“Friends of Sharr” is an informal group of civic organizations of Tetovo, who want te see Sharr mountain in the future as a national park.

The founding organizations of this platform are: “Community Development Institute: from Tetovo, Hiking club “Ljuboten” from Tetovo and “Center for Education and Development” from Tearce.Our vision is that the nature of Sharr to be protected and variegated in harmony with people.Shara declaration of protected areas, sustainable exploitation of natural resources, protection of traditional values.
